From flower power to Daisy-inspired dressing.
On the heels of Prime Video’s highly anticipated “Daisy Jones & The Six” premiere last week, Free People launched a collection of ‘70s-inspired styles influenced by the show — with a campaign starring none other than Daisy herself, Riley Keough.
“I immediately thought of Free People when I started the show,” Denise Wingate, the show’s costume designer, said in a press release of the fashion-filled series, which is based on the book of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
“I knew there would be great styles I could incorporate that would have the exact flavor and feel that I needed for the period. I’ve been a fan of the brand for so long, so this all seemed like the absolute best fit.”
Gigi Dress ($300)
For those looking to channel that same flavor of retro glamour, the capsule collection features everything from denim style staples — like the Jayde Flare Jeans ($98) and the rock star-worthy (and star-emblazoned) Firecracker Flare Jeans ($168) — to accessories like the Roger Aviator Sunglasses ($25) and the studded Tough Type Embellished Belt ($38).
Sheer, stage-worthy looks also abound, including the embellished Cross My Heart Top ($148) and shimmering mesh Remi Maxi Tee ($248), the latter of which Keough modeled with a studded bra for added edge.
Shoppers jealous of the show’s style can also shop the Jealousy Leather Moto Jacket ($698), available in seven shades including the classic black version seen on Keough.
On the Rise Mini Slip ($98)
Gretchen Studded Square Toe Boots ($308)
Wingate previously told Page Six Style she predicted the show’s “fabulous” coats, crochet halter tops and high-waisted flares would be prevalent at outdoor concerts and festivals this summer, along with “vintage leather jackets, tight T-shirts and vintage boots” for men.
